Trustees president/CEO Noah Brown. |
As the owner of a successful small business, Harby's strong ties to the
business community have helped DACC expand its workforce development offerings and enter the "green" revolution.
As ICCTA president from 2010 to 2011, he called public and trustee attention to the "new normal" of fiscal austerity.
He also forcefully represented the Illinois community college system on special funding task forces for the Illinois
Senate and the Illinois Board of Higher Education.
In addition to his trustee responsibilities, Harby volunteers with many organizations that serve the interests of
young people, including Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He currently serves
as president of the Catlin School District Foundation.
"The years I spent at Danville Area Community College proved that I could set goals and achieve them," Harby says.
"My life today is a direct result of my outstanding education at DACC."
